In the Shadows of Conflict

Growing up in Anniston was all good until you hit that certain age where you start to branch off and make your own decisions. Growing up around a violent neighborhood made me run with the wrong crowd and it made life so much harder. When you are around guns, drugs and money it makes you feel like you are invincible and that you have all the power.

I started to go down the wrong path heading straight to jail or a grave yard with my face in an obituary. All because I wanted a little money in my pocket and drugs to sell. That life makes you think you can get away with it, but in the long run it will catch up with you. By me making some bad decisions and stealing from other people, I got into a brutal fight. That happened all over some money. After that, I started thinking more about life. You only get one. You should cherish every moment of it. God put us here to honor his name, not to throw your life down the drain.

Class Room CEO

Classroom CEO is a new program at Oxford High School. Classroom CEO is about teaching students important strategies for teens who want to be successful in business when they graduate. We have a guest speaker who is a business owner of Webb Concrete. He visits every month to inform students on different topics such as time management, critical thinking, and problem solving.

I Think that Mr. Webb’s coming is a good start on teen lives because they get to interact with a real life business man who does this on a daily and it help us see what he goes threw and how big of a responsibility it is to be a owner of a popular business.

Mr.Webb has played a big part in my 10th grade year because he helped me understand new strategies and i thank him for all he has done for me this year because it is real helpful in the real world THANKS
